The Story: County Gutters Begins Guttering Replacement at Hartley Library, Southampton University, Hampshire

County Gutters are proud to have been awarded the contract by Spetisbury Construction to replace the guttering at Hartley Library, Southampton University. This important project involves upgrading the existing cast iron guttering with a modern, durable solution while ensuring the system remains in keeping with the building’s structure and function.

Our team has now begun work on-site, carefully removing the old cast iron guttering and replacing it with 150mm half-round PPC aluminium guttering. This new system offers improved longevity, reduced maintenance, and excellent weather resistance essential for a building that endures heavy year-round use. The new gutters will be seamlessly reconnected to the existing rainwater pipes, maintaining the efficiency of the drainage system while enhancing the building’s overall appearance. County Gutters is pleased to contribute to the upkeep of such a significant academic institution, ensuring its infrastructure remains robust and reliable for years to come.
