The Story: Heritage Rainwater System Refurbishment for Magnificent Hampshire Country House

County Gutters has successfully completed a specialist rainwater system refurbishment at a stunning country house in Hampshire. The existing cast iron rainwater system had served the property for many years, but with signs of wear and deterioration, an upgrade was required. The client wished to preserve key heritage features, so our team carefully refurbished and reinstalled the original hopper heads while incorporating rise and fall spikes to maintain the home’s traditional charm.

One of the project’s unique challenges was the decorative brick plinth under the eaves, which required bespoke projections with extended necks to ensure a perfect fit. By combining expert craftsmanship with high-quality materials, we have delivered a system that offers both historical authenticity and modern durability. Designed for minimal maintenance, the new rainwater system will provide over 40 years of reliable service without the need for repainting.
