St Nicholas Church, Corfe Mullen, Dorset.
County Gutters were contacted by the church regarding ongoing gutter problems and drainage issues they were having with the church. The original plastic system had failed in many places and all the downpipes went directly into the drains, these were blocked in places and causing flooding issues to the outside areas surrounding the church.
After a site survey, a gutter and drainage package was put together and presented to the church, this consisted of a new 150mm seamless aluminium ogee gutter with 76mm rainwater pipes. All the existing downpipes going into the drains were to be replaced by gully heads, this would allow any debris from the rainwater pipes could then be removed preventing future blockages.
The whole project from start to finish was completed in a week without any interruption of the day to day life of this busy community hub.
The aluminium seamless guttering is made from recycled aluminium, but can also be recycled once it has reached the end of its useful life span, which is in excess of 30 years.
There is no waste, as it is roll formed on-site to the exact dimensions of the building, in lengths of up to 30 metres, with no joints, reducing future maintenance costs and call outs, with additional Alurex leafguard it virtually makes this system a fit and forget solution.
