Scaplens Court | Case Study
Poole. Dorset | Listed/Heritage | Completed: 30/11/-0001
Scaplen's Court is a fifteenth century Grade I listed house in Poole, as a part of Poole Museum it is open to the public. The rear of the building had suffered storm damage after a tree fell onto the roof, the damage had snapped a section of the cast iron guttering off, County Gutters were contacted to see if any of the gutter could be repaired, after inspection the damage proved too large, all roof tiles and the all the guttering had to be removed.
Due to the grade 1 listing, the gutter was replicated and cast in Longbottom Foundry in Holmfirth. Our expertise with heritage buildings proved crucial as the building has a natural bow which the gutter had to follow, the installation from survey to completion was all in time for the first event of the season where the gardens are used for wedding pictures.
